Nature at home...

I was doing a spot of gardening earlier today and came across a reptile and an amphibian enjoying their day among the leaves of my plants.

Love the pic of the frog!
I love doing frog-spotting in my garden at night. There will be red eyes dotting the grass as far as the eyes can see. I read somewhere that if you have frogs in your garden then it is a sign of a healthy environment - so there you go! Well done.

the snake is dead or alive?

Mr Oldstock, I like the one with the frog. Did you use telephoto lens for this?

Ayoh Wang,

I wanted to get a closer pic of the snake but was afraid it might jump at me :-)

Ulat,

It is the first time I see a frog of this colour. I previously saw the plain green ones.

A healthy garden I may have... but knowing that there are many critters sort of give me the creeps sometimes. This is not the first time I've spotted a snake... although the snake is not that big laa...

Koolmokcik,

Alive... it slithered down the stem as I was taking more shots. Disappeared under some fallen leaves.

Cara,

No telephoto lens (which I am still dreaming of buying). The cam was set to macro and I got as close as I dared, so as not to scare the frog away.

I have nice big and juicy frogs snuggled beneath coconut shells. making beautiful music calling for more rain.

Salam Zafi,

Nice to see you back. I thought you had quit blogging :-)

But no worries, being busy is sometimes better than being idle. Hopefully things work out ok for you.
